USA Today Sudoku

For more than twenty years USA Today has been one of the most popular newspapers in the United States. Millions each day read its News, Money, Sports and Life sections to learn about the world with easy to read articles and useful charts and graphs. One of the most popular features of the paper is that of the puzzles in the purple Life section, and sudoku is one of the best features here. Not only is USA Today sudoku challenging but it is also available in a 6x6 form and also online.

The sudoku that is in USA Today is the same as that of a typical puzzle in that it features 9x9 puzzles with nine 3x3 grids. Each digit from 1 to 9 will have to be used in each 3x3 grid, row and column without any repetition. Easy puzzles are in the Monday editions, and the puzzles will get harder as the week progresses.

A smaller edition of sudoku is also on the USA Today puzzle page. This is a 6x6 grid that consists of six 3x2 grids. Each number from 1 to 6 will have to be filled out in each row, column and 3x2 grid without repetition. It also becomes tougher by each day in the week.

Solving the puzzle in the paper can be easy in that you can just pick up the puzzle immediately. However, the cubes are small and if you are a type of solver who typically use the eraser on a pencil it can be tough. Fortunately, USA Today also offers online sudoku.

The USA Today website, which is located at usatoday.com, has online sudoku. Many of the puzzles here are the same as what one can find on the USA Today puzzle section. Erases are easier to handle in that the wrong answers can be easily erased with an undo button. Also, when one has to check on answers the check button can be used to check on the correct answers and to compare the answers that have been filled in with the correct ones.

Different difficulty levels of puzzles can be featured on USA Today's website. Online sudoku is great in that there are puzzles available for individual skill levels, including tough puzzles and easy ones. In fact, the site never runs out of new sudoku puzzles.

Time keeping is also optional for online sudoku. Some people like to work against the clock, but others just want to take things easy.

USA Today sudoku has become one of the most popular types of sudoku to check out. Not only are there different puzzles of different difficulty levels available in the paper and online but there are even smaller sudoku puzzles to play.
